Hah, Yea.... That was a long time ago...Just saying.

Men And Women During The Colonial Times.

Men.  Today, or yesterday, they are men.  Back in the colonial times, there were many things a man needed to do, and specific roles he must fulfill.  For example, men had to work in the fields, and do most of the dirty work.  In the year 1607, men went to America to find gold, but instead, they found disease, famine, and a lot more hardships.  These men were not used to work, so they had to get used to working.  The men hunted, and fed the family.  The rich men of the colonies wore white wigs.  I don't know why, but it was the "in" thing to do.  Just like now, how "skinny" jeans are "in".   Well, for some people.  Also, Men had a lot of social pressure on them to marry young.  They had to marry young because of two reasons.  One, the life expectancy was super short.  Two, it was humiliating to be single after the age of twenty-five.  Men were also legally aloud to beat their wives, however, if they murdered their wives, they were hung.

Women.  The lovely ladies that walk down the street.  However, in the colonial times, they were very rarely aloud to do that.  They were locked inside the house, doing housework.  Housewives had to cook, make clothes, and be the doctor of the family, on top of cleaning, tending to the animals, gardening, making household products to use and sell, and maintaining a fire.  Even middle class women had to do SOME of these chores.  But they had servants to help them out.  Also, women were basically owned by there father, and then when married, owned by their husband.  Married women had no control over money or property; and they were not aloud to vote.  Widows had a better life.  However, if a woman were to run away from her husband, she could get arrested and tried for stealing the clothes she had on her back, and herself.  Apparently, that was stealing.  If a women murdered her husband, she would be buried alive.

"We fight, then play a board game."

A Girl Named Gabby and A Boy Named Taylor, Are Best Friends
Journal Entry.

Gabby Fenn-Tastic is my best friend in the whole wide world.  She is also my neighbor.  We live exactly four house away from each other.  But only if we lived right next door,  that would be sick.  We have man fun times.  Also, Gabby and I rely on each other for absolutely everything.  We are each others support system, and I can definetly tell her EVERYTHING.  The best thing about our best friendship is our shenanigans.  We fight all the time.  Have late night shenanigans.  and most importantly, make fun of just about everything.

Furthermore, Our Shenanigans may include jousting, fighting, yelling, running rampaged,  and just hanging out in the abandoned parking lot.  The abandoned parking lot contains a lot of memories.  These memories consist of making a trail of sunflower seeds from one end to another and intertwining around the parking lot.  Another time we hung out at the parking lot, was with Brittany, Rachael, Jamie, Noodley Bacon, Marissa, And some other girl.  This was a fun night of trying to crowd surf with a very small amount of people.  Fun times, i must say.

Despite all the fun times that we had, we have had HORRIBLE times as well.  Our friendship is more tears than laughs.  No matter how much fun we have, people always try to ruin it.  We have basically the same beliefs, so when one person is angry, so is the other person.  And we make sure that EVERYONE knows it.  Gabby and I  have the best and the worst times together, but no matter what, it is always a good time.  And at the end of the day, we know that we are still better than most of the people we know.  Simply because we have fun and make an amusing time with the littlest of things.

Ahhh, You Are A Fiend Witch. I Am Gonna Go Now.

Salem Witch Trials And Arthur Miller, Among Other Things.

We all know about the Salem Witch Trials, and many of the Witch Hunts back in the 1600's.  They are a huge part of our history today, and some pretty ugly stories have come out of them.  They all started when a women was accused of witchcraft.  This caused mass hysteria in many locations around the world, but predominately in Europe and North America.  The witch hunts lasted from the 1400's to the 1800's.  Along with mass hysteria, the witch trials, hunts, and executions, caused moral panic and lynching.  These so called witches, were executed and most of the time killed by hanging.  Estimates say that over 40,000 "witches" where executed during the time.  There was a lot of intolerance and moral dilemmas during this time.
Witch Craft was very popular in the town of Salem.  Witch-craft was criminalized in the year 1641.  When you are accused of witch craft, you are automatically guilty.  Most witches could swim.  One test to see if you were a witch, was dropping you in deep water to see if you could swim.  If you could, they killed you.  If you could not swim, then you drown anyways.  Either way, you still lose.  Back in that time period, all of the towns people were very "by-the-bible" and did everything by the bible.  They strongly believed in the devil and his works, along with witchcraft.  When some one did the smallest thing out of the ordinary, they were accused of being a witch or being bewitched, which is a term commonly used as to reference being under control of a witch, or the devil himself.  Some examples of witches are; Sarah Good, Mary Easty, Rebecca Nurse, John Proctor, and Bridget Bishop.  They were executed.

Arthur Miller wrote the novel "The Crucible"  which was based on The Salem Witch Trials, but in more depth, the story of a bunch of girls had many hallucinations and seizures.  In the story, 19 people, and 2 dogs were convicted and hanged of witch craft.  Arthur Miller was born on October 17, 1915, in New York City, New York.  He died on February 10, 2005 in Roxbury Connecticut.  He died at the age of 89.  He had a pretty great career from writing stories, plays, and novels.  He studied the Salem Witch Trials for about two years and wrote the novel "The Crucible."  Also, he had gotten a lot of awards for his works.  such as the national medal of arts among others.  (2005-02-10

False Accusations.

Guilt has very quick ears to an accusation.
Many times I have been accused of things that I have never done.  t gets old after a very short amount of time, and some people can loose their temper straight up.  On some occasions, when the accused get overly defensive, they are usually guilty.  However, I am not.  I am not guilty because I get defensive, it just really upsets me when people accuse me of things that I know for a fact that I have not done.
There were some events in which I have been falsely accused of doing something that i have not done.  For example, one time, I was over my friends house in winsted.  I needed to be home by 11:30 at the latest.  I was angry that day, so i wanted to go home around 9:30 - 10.  I walked through the door at 10:03 exactly.  I walked straight into my room because i did not want to talk to anyone in my house because i had a bad day.  My mom, and some of the neighbors were outside on the porch, and they wanted to see me.  I was just like whatever, so I went.  They made me sit underneath the light, and then i started getting sketched out.  My mother asked me why my eyes were blood-shot, and why my eyes were all messed up.  First of all, they weren't.  Second of all, I did not do anything illegal that night.  Third of all, She has no idea what she is talking about.  She tried to accuse me of stumbling around, and slurring my words, but I wasn't, and she was the only one that said something.  My neighbor Amy, went quick to HER rescue and then started yelling at me telling me not to lie.  Then I started yelling, saying that I wasn't high.  This really made me soooooo mad.  like you have no idea.  My whole family is not trusting enough to know that I would not come home high.  some people just really need to grow up, and get better things to do.
Another time I was accused of doing something that i didn't do was when my brother had a HUGE bag of candy.  It was just chilling there, and i moved it, because i was cleaning up after everyone else like usual, which i am getting tired of doing.  Anyways, i put the bag of candy in his room so i wouldn't knock it over, or throw it because i had to clean up after hi, when he can clearly do it himself.  When he came home, he asked me what i did with it.  i told him that i put it in his room, and he started tweaking out.  He then started accusing me of stealing it because there wasn't as much in the bag when he left, but little does he know, that i did not take any of his candy and i began yelling at him.  telling him that i have better things to do than steal his candy, because i really do have better things to do than steal his candy.  He ran up to me and starting hitting me demanding for his candy back, i pushed him off and he began to cry.  I didn't feel bad because he deserved it.  Not my problem.  I was sooooo angry.  It was not funny.   I ended the fight after he said "I hate you"  and i took his candy and i threw it all over his room.

Just Stop.

No matter what we do, bullying will be a problem everywhere.  We cannot change the way people think.  We cannot change the words the come out of peoples mouth.  We cannot change people in general.  This is something we are going to have to live with for the rest of our lives.  There will always be one or two misfits.  There will always be someone who thinks they are all tough and stuff.  No matter what we do, there will ALWAYS be bullying.  No matter what.  I hate to say it,  but bullies will never stop until it they actually know and feel the pain they put other people through.

There is a lot that COULD potentially be done.  For example, we can maximize the consequences.  But at the same time, that is not fair for little things. As a last resort, I do not believe that anything will be done because of all of the school's that just brush things off like they are nothing.  If it was nothing, there would not be as many suicides related to bullying.

Bullying would stop dead, if people could stop being so closed-minded and let thigns go, and stop being so judgmental towards people.  it needs to stop, and it needs to stop now.

They aren't fighting with fists anymore.

Words Hurt More Than Knives.

There is a lot of bullying in this world.  Sometimes, people think it is the worst at there school.  Even though it is basically equal at every school.  Bullying is a huge issue nowadays.  I have witnessed bullying, been bullied, and one time, been the bully.  Bullying is nothing that should be thrown away because of the recent suicides of many teens, for being different.  People get bullied for many reasons,  maybe because of their sexual orientation, or the clothes they wear, or what color their hair is.  People often bully for many reasons.  Those reasons may include the fact that they were bullied, insecure about themselves, jealousy, or home problems.  They also bully to make themselves feel better and to feed their lust for power.  Bullying needs to stop.  It needs to stop now.

I have personally been bullied sense I was in seventh grade.  They picked on me because my hair was short, and I had a baby face.  When I grew my hair out, and stopped fitting in the mold, wearing tighter jeans, and band tees.  They made fun of me for being different.  By the time I was in eighth grade, I have gotten into my first physical fist fight.  I was at the movie theatre with my friends.  People were making smart comments, and being very mean to me and my group of friends.  I brushed it off until one of them walked up to me, and called me a "Faggot", I got really angry, really fast.  He asked me what I was gonna do about it, and then pushed me.  My first response was to push him back, but no.  Haha, I hit him.  The fight did not end until we got torn apart by the mall security.  I was done.

The most I was ever bullied was in 9th grade.  Nobody liked me.  However, that is quite okay, because I did not like most of them anyways.  There was too many people to name, and too many incidents to describe.  The school did nothing.  I tried reporting it, but it was just a waste of time because the same people just got another "warning" but no real consequence.  I just started to fight back, with more words, and more texts, and more IM's, and more Facebook wall posts.  I could not stand it anymore.  I was being called to many things,  and nothing was being done.  I could not do the littlest thing without someone commenting on it, making fun of my pictures, or everything that i posted.  I couldn't do anything else but fight back.  I never could trust anyone.  I never had anyone to fall back on.  I was alone, me against the world i guess you could say.  Lucky for me, i was able to hold my own, and fight my own battles.  The bullies had no reason to pick on me, and no reason to start with me.  Everyone just told me that when i fight back, I'm just fueling their fire.  And giving them what they wanted.  I did not think so, because when i did walk away, or just stop commenting.  They never stopped.  I ended up deleting my facebook for a while, and never wanted to go to school.  I cut out of 2 classes, because i was scared to go to them.  People would say stuff right in class in front of me.  The teachers thought we were joking around.  I never shed a tear at school, but when i got home, they all just leaked out.  Bullying hurts.  It may not be in fists, but words hurt so much more.  I am able to say, that i survived Regional, and I survived bullying.
